Hangzhou is continuously advancing its efforts to build a child-friendly city, actively exploring “Hangzhou’s model” for such development. Recently, the city introduced the “2023 Hangzhou 10 Child-Friendly Guidelines,” which cover ten aspects, including child-friendly spaces, transportation, inclusive childcare, mental health, and family education, to provide an optimal environment, conditions, and services for children’s growth, thereby fully supporting the development of a child-friendly city in Hangzhou.

In response to Hangzhou’s child-friendly city initiative, Wenhan Kindergarten has adopted “child-friendliness” as its key goal and established the “Wenhan 10 Child-Friendly Guidelines.”

• I’m in charge of my kindergarten!

The creation of child-friendly schools is a key part of advancing the development of child-friendly cities. In line with the “2023 Hangzhou 10 Child-Friendly Guidelines,” Wenhan Kindergarten values children’s dreams, listens to their suggestions, and strives to meet their expectations. By collecting input from children in each class on their understanding of “child-friendliness” and organizing their ideas, the kindergarten compiled and developed the “Wenhan 10 Child-Friendly Guidelines.”
